Ruka Hatua-Saar White is a native of Fort Lauderdale, FL, but born in Aviano, Italy. His dance training began as a scholarship student with the Miami City Ballet. Upon graduating from the Dillard School of the Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, he obtained a B.F.A and an M.F.A in Dance from Florida State University and Holllins University; respectively.


White, has danced professionally with Ballethnic Contemporary Ballet; Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (DCDC); Philadanco (Philadelphia Dance Company); Armitage Gone!; and the acclaimed Limon Dance Company. He was a working artist with Bloc South Talent Agency, in which he appeared in several commercials and live performances alongside such artists as Maya Angelou, Shirley Murdock, and Missy Elliot. He is an Act-So Dance Gold Medalist.

Also, he still performs as a guest artist with Prometheus Dance Company; Philadanco; and the Limon Dance Company. He has taught at Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts; Philadanco Summer Intensive; and Midwest Starz Dance Competition. White, is also on faculty at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Tufts University.
